Paolo Anselmo began working ceramics at the
age of fifteen. After a trip around the world, in
1996, he opened an art gallery in Albissola that
was immediately successful, bringing in clients
also from nearby France. His ceramic pieces are
immediately recognizable thanks to their bright
colors and hybrid forms which have a vein of a
“mythical presence” or a totem. Among his works
the sculptures that recreate the marvels of the
world under the waters, and the dishes inspired
by Mayan and Aztec culture, stand out.
