Azienda Agricola Grillo is a family-run business founded in Isolabona, a small village in the Val Nervia in the province of Imperia, from the passion of Marco, who has been involved in the cultivation of Taggiasca olives for twenty-five years.
The Taggiasca olive is a rare and precious variety, typical of western Liguria: it is small, very fleshy and has unmistakable characteristics of taste and delicacy.
Taggiasca olives have a color that varies from green to brown to black and are extremely tasty.
Thanks to these characteristics they are in fact praised by chefs all over the world who use them to garnish both land and sea dishes.
All the crops, which come from their own crops, are transformed and packaged directly in the company plants: these are the processes that guarantee originality, excellent production quality and competitiveness in prices.
The products can be packaged in different formats: from the bucket for large distribution to the jar for retail, we are also available to customize the packaging (format, label, etc.).
Marco has managed to transmit a passion for agriculture and resourcefulness to his son Amedeo, who in recent years has started a small winery.
The company today consists of 3 hectares of Vigna Rossese which produces about 15,000 bottles of Rossese di Dolceacqua but, given the success and excellent response of the Rossese wine, the production will be implemented. In 2018 the production of Pigato was started, creating 2 hectares of planting, moreover, in 2020 a Vermentino plant was built - with a consistency of 1 hectare - whose wine production is expected in 2022.
In 2000 an old mill was renovated where, in addition to being the point of sale, the possibility is offered to customers to organize parties for any occasion or anniversary, from weddings to birthdays, from business lunches to thematic dinners. During the winter, the walls of the old mill, renovated by stone masters, will envelop visitors in an overwhelming magical atmosphere.
We offer tastings to tour groups.
